I. Why choose galleria Dermatology? My persistent acne scars have finally found a solution.
Let me state the conclusion first: After 12 weeks, a colleague directly asked me, “Did you secretly go for some cosmetic treatments recently?” To be honest, I had undergone several Pico and Fraxel treatments in Taiwan before, but the acne scars that kept recurring on my chin just wouldn’t disappear. Those pits and pigmentation were so obvious that even applying three layers of foundation couldn’t cover them up.
It was only after being recommended by a friend from South Korea that I learned about galleria Dermatology. In South Korea, only the top 2% of Dermatology clinics are staffed by specialist physicians in person, and at galleria Dermatology, there are not just one such specialist, but a total of seven dermatologists who all graduated from Yonsei University. What’s more, they offer a unique “12-week comprehensive treatment for acne scars” – which doesn’t involve using just one type of laser therapy, but rather a combination of four different lasers and two types of regenerative injections. I will go into more detail about this later.
Let me first present some key figures: 6 branches across Korea (with another located in Jakarta, Indonesia!), over 50 advanced medical devices, and a total area of 160 square meters comprising both the main clinic and the Maple Leaf Branch – such facilities would definitely be considered top-tier even within the Gangnam Dermatology community.

II. Where exactly is the main branch of galleria Dermatology’s Banpo Silkworm Farm in South Korea? The transportation is extremely convenient.
The main branch of galleria Banpo Silkworm Farm is located in Silkworm Farm-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. What’s more, it boasts two connected treatment areas: the main building (2nd floor of the Star Building) and the Maple Tower (4th floor), covering a total area of 160 pyeong – which is considered quite large among Dermatology clinics in Gangnam.
How do I take the subway?
Take the subway Line 3 to Jamwon Station, then exit from Exit 3 and walk for about 100 meters – you will arrive at our venue in less than 1 minute. If you have reserved a room in the Maple Leaf Pavilion, exit from Exit 2 and it still takes only 1 minute to get there. It’s really extremely close; I only took 10 minutes to get here from Sinsa Station on that day.
How do I take the bus?
Take the Seocho 01 community bus and get off at the “Silkworm Farm Station”.
Driving/Parking
There is a valet parking service available behind our hotel, with 3 hours of free parking. Those staying at the Maple Leaf Pavilion can use the underground parking lot of Maple Xi Mall, also with 3 hours and 30 minutes of free parking. Friends who come by car need not worry about not being able to find a parking spot.
Regarding business hours: Monday to Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM; on Fridays, the hours are extended until 8:00 PM; on Saturdays, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Sundays and national holidays are off days; there is no lunch break on Saturdays.
III. Price Reference for galleria Dermatology in 2026
Below are the prices of some services found through the BeautsGO platform (updated in June 2026). Galleria’s pricing strategy is different from that of ordinary Gangnam Dermatology clinics—they emphasize “uniform pricing across Korea,” meaning they do not charge different prices just because you are a foreigner. I think this is a really positive aspect.
For the complete price list, it is recommended to click on the card above and visit BeautsGO for details. The items listed there are just some of the popular treatments. For advanced procedures such as their signature Sculptra, Oligio Lifting, and Onda Body Sculpting, the prices need to be determined after on-site consultation, as the treatment area and dosage vary from person to person.
IV. A team of 7 specialist dermatologists from Yonsei University – no other institution in Gangnam can match this lineup.
What really impressed me about the Banpo headquarters of galleria Dermatology was not so much its luxurious decor as the educational background of its medical team. All seven members of the team are dermatology specialists who graduated from Yonsei University, which is a very rare combination in South Korea.
President Kim Dong-in
The core figure behind galleria. With a master’s degree in medicine from Yonsei University, she has served as a resident physician and professor at the Dermatology Department of Yonsei University. She has also furthered her studies at the University of Bordeaux in France and the Frankfurt International School in Germany. Director Kim is particularly expert in the treatment of acne scars and anti-aging treatments. She personally participated in the development of the “Miracle Injection” – a non-surgical technique for shaping the facial contours – which is currently a proprietary technology exclusive to galleria.
President Choi Seung-jae — Representative of Research-Oriented Physicians
This person is galleria’s secret weapon. With a Doctor of Medicine degree from Yonsei University and further studies at UCSF in the United States, he has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers in renowned journals such as Nature Communications, JAAD, and JAMA. In 2024, he was also selected as one of South Korea’s BRIC “Heroes Illuminating South Korea.” Additionally, he serves as a global KOL expert for Sculptra and a global lecturer for Dexlevo Gouri. Friends who are interested in trying SWOMAN should definitely consult him.
The other five specialist physicians
Director Song Areum (Song Yal-lim): Master’s degree from Yonsei University, clinical lecturer at Gangnam Severance Hospital, specializing in skin immunology and laser treatments.
Director Jeon Myeong-
su: Former head of the Dermatology department at the National Military Medical Center, furthered his studies at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, with over 30 years of clinical experience.
Director Lee Sang-hoon: Docto
r of Medicine from Yonsei University, top scorer in the national specialized physician examination, author of books on skin barrier function and pediatric dermatology.
Director Jung Ki-ya
ng: Former chairman of the Dermatology Department at Yonsei University, featured twice on the EBS program “Famous Doctors”, and current president of the Korean Society of Dermatological Oncology and the Society of Dermatological Sur
gery.
Director Oh Seung-joon: Graduated with honors from Yonsei University, furthered his studies at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States (primarily responsible for managing branch clinics, but also sees patients at the main campus regularly).
V. What is the environment like at the main branch of galleria Dermatology’s Banpo Silkworm Farm in South Korea? An overview of the 160-square-meter space.
The Banpo headquarters of galleria consist of two buildings: the main branch and the Maple Leaf Branch, with a total area of approximately 160 pyeong (around 530 square meters). The main branch features a simple and modern design, while the Maple Leaf Branch has an atmosphere more reminiscent of that of a luxury hotel.

The waiting area is very spacious, and there is no sense of overcrowding that one might find in some popular clinics in Gangnam. The consultation rooms and treatment chambers are all separate private booths, ensuring a high level of privacy. What impressed me the most was their extensive range of laser equipment: they have 2 units of the HIFU device Ulthera Prime, 2 units of Thermage FLX, 2 units of Onda body sculpting equipment, as well as Excel V+, Pico Plus, RevLite SI, InMode, NeoFace, and other models – in total, more than 50 units.

In South Korea, many Dermatology clinics claim to have “high-end equipment” when they only have one HIFU device or one Thermage machine. However, galleria ensures that each of its main treatment devices is available in at least two units – this reflects a higher volume of patients and stronger operational capabilities, something that ordinary clinics simply cannot achieve.
VI. FAQ on Common Issues at galleria Dermatology
Q1: Does galleria Dermatology provide Chinese-language services? Yes! They of
fer translation services in Chinese, so you don’t have to worry about communication issues even if you don’t speak Korean. It is recommended to mention your need for Chinese translation when making an appointment.
Q2: Are the prices at galleria Dermatology more expensive compared to other Gangnam Dermatology clinics? Considering
the overall market in Gangnam, their pricing can be considered above average. However, given that treatments are performed personally by top 2% specialists in Korea (rather than by nurses) and they utilize over 50 advanced devices, the cost-performance ratio is actually very high. Additionally, they guarantee uniform pricing across all their branches nationwide, so foreigners need not worry about additional charges.
Q3: Can foreigners go directly without making an appointment on their first visit? It is high
ly recommended to book in advance! Especially on weekends and Friday evenings, it gets extremely busy, and walk-ins are likely to result in long waiting times. We suggest using BeautsGO or KakaoTalk to make a reservation in advance, and you can also check at that time whether there will be Chinese interpreters available on that day.
Q4: What makes galleria’s “12-week comprehensive scar treatment” different from conventional laser tr
eatments? While most clinics may use just 1-2 types of lasers for treatment, galleria combines four different lasers (Pico Plus, CO2, Excel V+, RevLite SI) with two types of regenerative injections (Rejuran and Juvelook), administering these treatments in a phased approach over 12 weeks. Director Kim Dong-in even wrote a specialized book on this treatment protocol, demonstrating his genuine dedication to research in the field of scar treatment.
Q5: Is there any difference between the galleria Banpo branch and other branches? The Banp
o branch is the flagship store, with the most complete team of physicians (7 specialist doctors) and the most advanced facilities (both the main venue and the Maple Leaf Branch). Other branches such as Gwanggyo, Kaepu Dogu, Seongbuk, and Gangdong Songpa each have 2-3 specialist doctors. However, the core treatment programs and pricing are uniform across all branches in Korea, so you can simply choose the one that is closest to where you live.
Q6: Is there a parking lot? How are the fees calculated? The
re is a valet parking service behind this venue, with 3 hours of free parking. The Maple Leaf Pavilion uses the underground parking lot of Maple Xi Mall, where the first 3 hours and 30 minutes of parking are also free.
Q7: Can I use a credit card or one of Taiwan’s payment methods? We a
ccept local South Korean credit cards as well as international credit cards (Visa/Mastercard). Currently, we do not support Taiwan’s Line Pay or other local payment services; it is recommended to bring a credit card or sufficient amount of South Korean cash with you.
