The five clinics I visited this time each had their own unique style and were suitable for different types of patients. Let me introduce them to you one by one below.
II. Melting Clinic: An industrial-style clinic specializing in high-end Lifting and anti-aging treatments
Melting is probably the one among these five places that exudes the most “local charm” – the interior design of the clinic adopts a rough, industrial style, with exposed pipes and concrete walls, which perfectly matches the atmosphere of the nearby Designer cafes. But don’t let the appearance deceive you; the equipment inside is actually top-notch.
Dean Park Gyeong-min (박경민) previously had extensive experience in treating skin tightening at Ji-Yi Hospital. Among these five clinics, Newlline is the one that comes closest to the concept of an “internet-famous clinic” in my opinion. The clinic is very clean and tidy, and the waiting area is decorated like a high-end beauty salon, which immediately creates a positive impression when you enter.
Director Lee Eun-sil specializes in Lifting treatments using thread lifts and also offers Filler injections. She uses various devices such as the HIFU and Volnewmer. Among the five options, Serene is the one that I find most reassuring.
The director, Kim Se-rim, is a female physician with 20 years of experience in the field. She insists on performing all consultations and procedures herself, without delegating any tasks to others. This is truly uncommon among Dermatology clinics in Seoul – in many well-known clinics, the director is responsible for face-to-face consultations while assistants handle the actual procedures. However, her approach is completely different. She specializes in the treatment of acne (with a dedicated 5-week treatment program), the management of pigmentation and chloasma, as well as skin hydration treatments, including the use of Potenza Potenza.
While waiting in the waiting room, I heard the receptionist discussing the follow-up details of previous treatments with a regular customer; it was really thoughtful of them. The price for Potenza starts at ₩181,500, while Lizhulan Black Box costs ₩270,000 – in the Seongsu area, these options are considered quite affordable.
V. IRIS Dermatology: Personal consultations by Dr. Choi Joo-yeon – HIFU for various skin pigmentation issues
IRIS is located just 1 minute’s walk away from Exit 5 of Dodok Island Station, making it the most conveniently accessible option in the Wujiali area. The director, Choi Ju-yeon, graduated from the School of Medicine at Ulsan National University and has received comprehensive training in Dermatology at Eosan Hospital and Gangbuk Samsung Medical Center, ensuring her strong technical expertise.
The clinic has a quiet and unpretentious atmosphere, exuding the feel of a place where “serious medical consultations take place.” Their strengths lie in pigment treatment (Pico Plus Pico and Star Walker lasers) and acne solutions (Secret RF microneedling radiofrequency combined with Neobium 1450nm), although they also offer Lifting treatments, with HIFU being one of their flagship services.
The price of the second-generation HIFU is set at ₩1,800,000, while various acne treatment and skincare services start from ₩90,000. The LDM hydration and soothing treatment also costs ₩150,000. Overall, the prices of these various skincare services are considered reasonable.
VI. Bellis Seongsu Clinic: Specializing in filling and Lifting treatments, located at Exit 3 of Seongsu Station
Among these five clinics, Bellis is the one with the most refined and luxurious atmosphere. The design of both the corridors and treatment rooms is truly thought-through, creating an environment that makes people feel motivated to treat themselves with care and attention.
Dean Lee Hong-seok is particularly skilled in fillers (for the eyes, lips, and Nasolabial Fold Correction) as well as Lifting treatments (using Ulthera, Thermage, and Virtue RF). It seems that his approach is to personally perform every procedure himself, without allowing assistants to intervene.
The clinic is located just 3 minutes’ walk away from Exit 3 of the Cheung Shui Station. Although its location is slightly more remote compared to some previous ones, the relaxing atmosphere there makes it very comfortable – even sitting in the waiting area and drinking something after the treatment feels pleasant. They provide consultation on their Asce+ Exosomes therapy program before giving a quote, and it is especially suitable for those whose skin needs deep repair.
