Previously, a friend asked me, “There are so many Dermatology clinics in South Korea – which one is suitable for someone going there for the first time?”
To be honest, I was also taken aback at that time. There are simply too many Dermatology clinics in South Korea—just in the Gangnam area alone, there are hundreds of them. If you go there without doing any research first, you’ll definitely be stunned on the spot.
Later, it took me about two weeks to visit all four of the most popular chain Dermatology clinics in South Korea – Vands Sinsa, Wonjin, Gangnam Samsung, and Leaders. These four clinics are essentially “national-level” chains that South Koreans themselves would choose to go to. Each one has its own unique features and is suitable for different types of patients.
Today, I will summarize for you the results of my own personal experiences, so that you don’t have to take the same detours as I did.

I. Why choose these four South Korean chain Dermatology clinics for this comparative review?
These four institutions were not chosen arbitrarily. Before preparing for this trip to South Korea for medical beauty treatments, I reviewed a large number of reviews on Naver in South Korea and also read many sharing posts from friends from Taiwan and Hong Kong. I found that these four institutions were mentioned the most frequently.
Vands Sinsa Dermatology (밴스의원) – One of the largest local chains in South Korea, with over 60 branches across the country, covering popular shopping areas such as Seoul’s Myeongdong, Gangnam, Hongdae, and Busan. With transparent pricing and a high level of standardization, it is often the first choice for many local South Koreans.
Wonjin Plastic Surgery and Dermatology – highly renowned in the Taiwanese medical aesthetics industry, and has been recommended by many bloggers. Its strength lies in its “one-stop service combining plastic surgery and dermatology”, covering a wide range of procedures. Over 20 Chinese-speaking consultants are available online at any time.
Gangnam Samsung Dermatology – This clinic focuses on a high-end, sophisticated approach, emphasizing one-on-one personalized consultations and customized anti-aging treatment plans. If you seek a service that is far from being standardized or mass-produced, many people would recommend this clinic.
Leaders Dermatology – If you have ever been to Myeongdong, there is a high probability you have seen its signboard. Located within the SK Leaders View South Mountain Building, the Myeongdong branch enjoys convenient transportation facilities, and their Onda tightening treatment program has an excellent reputation in South Korea.
Each of these four companies has its own unique positioning. Next, I will provide a detailed comparison from several aspects, including price transparency, equipment, service experience, foreign language support, and the target customer groups.
II. A comprehensive comparison of the service styles of four South Korean chain Dermatology clinics
Let me state the conclusion first: there is no such thing as “the best”; there is only “what suits you best”. I also compared these different factors before deciding how to arrange my schedule.
📍 Price transparency
Vands Sinsa does the best in terms of price transparency. All services on their official website are clearly priced, and there will be no arbitrary price increases upon arrival at the store. Before checking out, the amount will also be confirmed again.
Since Wonjin handles a relatively large number of projects (including both plastic surgery and skin treatments), the prices may vary depending on individual circumstances. It is recommended to consult online first to obtain a quote before making a decision.
Gangnam BYUL follows a high-end approach; its prices are relatively high, but it compensates with top-quality materials and equipment.
The price of Leaders is considered moderate; it is neither extremely cheap nor overly expensive, and falls within the reasonable range for the Myeongdong area.
📍 Equipment and Technology
The equipment of these four companies is basically all regular machinery certified by the KFDA.
As a standardized chain, Vands ensures that the equipment specifications in each branch are uniform, resulting in consistent quality.
Wonjin has the largest scale and the most complete range of equipment, offering everything from HIFU to Thermage and various types of lasers.
Gangnam Samsung gives priority to introducing the latest equipment; some machines are even used by them before other companies even get them.
Although Leaders is not as large as the top three companies, its equipment for common treatments such as Onda tightening and glow injections is all very modern.
📍 Foreign language services
This is extremely important for us outsiders.
Wonjin’s foreign language services are the most advanced. Over 20 Chinese-speaking consultants are online around the clock, enabling communication in Chinese throughout the entire process, from appointment scheduling to post-operative follow-ups.
Vands also offers Chinese-language services, but this depends on the specific branch; some smaller stores may only provide services in Korean, English, and Japanese.
Gangnam BYUL and Leaders offer relatively fewer Chinese-speaking services. It is recommended to confirm in advance whether there are Chinese staff on duty when making a reservation.
📍 Quick Guide for Suitable Candidates
• Going to South Korea for cosmetic procedures for the first time? Worried about making mistakes? → Choose Vands Sinsa (standardized procedures, transparent prices, multiple branch
es).
• Want to combine plastic surgery with skin treatments and need full-time Chinese-speaking assistance? → Consider Wonjin (one-stop service, strong Chinese-speaki
ng team).
• Have a generous budget and seek high-end, customized anti-aging treatments? → Go to Gangnam Samsung (one-on-one consultations, state-of-t
he-art equipment).
• Want to get a facial treatment while shopping in Myeongdong? → Try Leaders (convenient location, renowned for Onda treatments).
III. Vands Sinsa Dermatology: The “Safety Shield” of a Standardized Chain

Vands Sinsa was the first Dermatology clinic I visited during my trip to South Korea, and it is definitely the “most reliable option” in my opinion.
Its concept is somewhat similar to the chain Dermatology clinics in Taiwan – uniform prices, standardized procedures, and multiple branches. I visited the Sinsa branch, which is located on floors 12-13 of the Samsung Building near Gangnam Station. It only takes a few minutes to get there from Exit 3 of Gangnam Station.
As soon as I entered the place, I was greeted in Chinese, which was really a plus for me. The consultant first asked what I wanted to have done, and then used instruments to check the condition of my skin. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and no attempts were made to sell me any services, which I really appreciated.
What I offer is a combination of HIFU and hyaluronic acid injections; the prices are clearly listed on the official website, and the final amount charged is exactly the same as the quoted price, with no hidden fees. In terms of results, the Lifting effect of HIFU is very noticeable, and the skin’s moisture retention improves significantly after the hyaluronic acid injections. Overall, it’s definitely worth the money.
If, like me, this is your first time going to South Korea for cosmetic procedures and you want an experience that is free from pitfalls, comes with transparent prices, and follows a smooth process, Vands Sinsa would be an excellent starting point for you.
VII. Comparison Table of Prices and Features of Four Clinics
| clinic | Price range | Foreign language services | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vands Sinsa | medium | Chinese (in some branches) | Going there for the first time, I’m worried about running into problems. |
| Wonjin | Mid-to-high range | Chinese (20+ consultants) | Comprehensive services including plastic surgery and skin treatments |
| Gangnam BYUL | high | Primarily in Korean. | High-end customization with sufficient budget |
| Leaders | medium | Chinese (Myeongdong Store) | Take a stroll while doing your shopping and enjoy regular skincare treatments. |
VIII. Conclusion: My recommendations for choosing a Dermatology chain clinic in South Korea
I have personally visited all four of these institutions, and none of them are “bad” – it’s simply a matter of whether they suit you or not.
If it is your first time undergoing cosmetic procedures in South Korea, I would recommend Vands Sinsa. Its services are highly standardized, the prices are transparent, and there is no risk of being treated unfairly.
If you want Chinese-language assistance throughout the process, or if you wish to undergo both plastic surgery and skin treatment at the same time, choosing Wonjin is definitely the right choice.
If you have a sufficient budget and are looking for the feeling of “not being just another number on an assembly line,” Gangnam Samsung would be perfect for you.
If you are just shopping in Myeongdong and want to take some time to take care of your skin, Leaders offers convenient locations and affordable prices.
One final reminder: no matter which option you choose, it is recommended to consult and make an appointment online in advance. Do not go straight there, as you may have to wait for a long time on-site. Wishing everyone a smooth journey in South Korea’s medical beauty industry!
