Which is the best place for stem cell treatment in Seoul? After giving up those mass-produced clinics, my opinion changed after visiting GD CLINIC.

To be honest, when I went to the Dermatology clinics in South Korea before, almost every time it felt like walking into an assembly line factory – nurses would take over the consultation process, and salespeople would follow me around relentlessly. Later, a friend recommended the GD CLINIC in Gangnam, saying that the director, Kim Si-jun, would personally conduct the consultations and would never try to sell anything. Half-believing but still skeptical, I made an appointment, and the experience was truly completely different.

I. Why did I give up the streamlined Dermatology approach? (My real experiences of encountering problems)

Environment of GD CLINIC

Those large-chain Dermatology clinics I’ve been to before – you should know what I mean: as soon as you enter, you never see the director; it’s always the nurses or beauticians who greet you. When they introduce the various treatments, there is always a salesperson standing by, following you around and insisting that this or that treatment is great, threatening not to let you leave unless you buy it.

I’m not saying that all large clinics are like this, but after experiencing several disappointing experiences, I now use three criteria to choose a clinic: ① The director personally examines the patients; ② No aggressive sales tactics; ③ Honest reviews. GD CLINIC meets all three of these criteria, which is also why I decided to write a dedicated article about it.

II. Where exactly is the GD CLINIC located? On the first floor below Gangnam Pagoda Tower.

Exterior view of GD CLINIC

GD CLINIC (Gangnam Beauty Clinic) is located in Seocho District, Seoul. The exact address is Ground Floor 2, Pagoda Tower, 419 Gangnam-daero. If taking the subway, get off at Gangnam Station and it takes about 5 minutes to walk up from the underground passage. If driving, there are limited parking spaces inside the building. It is recommended to park at the JD Pay Parking Lot (26, 73-seocho-daero), and then report your vehicle license plate to the reception desk to obtain a parking ticket.

I arrived a little after 2 pm. The exterior of the PAGODA building is quite unassuming, and the entrance on the first floor is not very noticeable, but it’s not difficult to find if you follow the directions on the map.

III. SKIN BOOSTER Services at GD CLINIC: Rejuran, Hyaluronic Acid Injection, and JUVELOOK are all available.

Interior environment of GD CLINIC

During my visit to goldendiamant CLINIC this time, what I mainly wanted to have done was the SKIN BOOSTER treatment, which is what we commonly refer to as the hyaluronic acid injection series. The clinic offers a quite wide range of treatments:

Rejuran Healer – this product has really become very popular recently. Its main ingredient is polynucleotides, and applying it to the face can help reduce fine lines and enhance skin elasticity. Several of my friends have said that the effects are quite noticeable.

JUVELOOK (Xiu Yan Needle) – This product also stimulates the production of Collagen and is suitable for those who wish to see gradual improvements rather than immediate, dramatic results.

HILO WAVE Collagen Glow Tonic – An upgraded version of the glow tonic, claimed to provide deeper hydration than regular glow tonics.

They also offer weight loss treatments (goldendiamant weight loss pills, fat reduction injections, fat reduction lasers) as well as Lifting procedures (HIFU, Titanium, Thread Lifting, etc.). However, I did not opt for any of these this time; instead, I would like to share my experience with the SKIN BOOSTER consultation service.

IV. Director Kim Sik-jun conducts personal consultations: How does the process proceed?

Waiting area at GD CLINIC

When making the appointment, I specifically requested to have a face-to-face consultation with the director. The clinic confirmed that it was possible to arrange such a meeting. Upon arriving on the day, I first filled out some basic information, and after waiting for about 10 minutes, Director Kim Si-jun personally came to meet with me.

I really have to say that this clinic is much more reliable than many others I have visited before. The director examined my skin condition, analyzed my needs, and didn’t try to sell me anything throughout the process. He said that my skin was in good condition and that both Rejuran and JUVELOOK would be suitable for me, but if it was just for regular maintenance, there was no need to use too many products at once.

This kind of advice to “discourage people from proceeding” is the first time I have heard at the Dermatology department of South Korea. In all the previous places I visited, they were always eager for patients to undergo ten procedures at once.

The director was very straightforward in his explanation, telling me which treatments were suitable and which were actually unnecessary. In the end, I chose the Rejuran full-face treatment. The procedure took less time than I expected, about 20 minutes. Since local anesthetic was used, the pain was fairly tolerable.

V. What is the environment like at GD CLINIC? Let me show you with pictures and texts.

Atrium environment of GD CLINIC

The entire clinic is quite clean, and its decoration style is simple and modern. There aren’t many seats in the waiting area, but the space doesn’t feel crowded at all. The background music is gentle and soothing. After receiving the Rejuran treatment, the nurse gave me a relaxing facial mask, and I rested with it on for about 15 minutes.

The cleanliness of the corridors and treatment rooms is also quite good; it’s evident that considerable effort has been put into maintaining them. This is something I really care about, because after all, these are places where substances are applied to the face, so a clean environment is a basic requirement.
