When I came to Seoul this time, I didn’t choose the well-known Gangnam area; instead, I headed to the currently very popular Seongsu-dong. I originally just wanted to visit some cafes and take some pictures, but a friend suggested to me, “Hey, there’s a Dermatology clinic in Seongsu-dong that has received great reviews from locals. Since you’re already here, why not give it a try?”
I thought since I was already here, I might as well make an appointment for a consultation in the afternoon. But once I got inside, everything – from the environment to the way the director conducted the consultation – was quite surprising to me. It was completely different from the atmosphere of the few clinics I had visited in Gangnam.
Today, I would like to share with you my real experience at the Melting Clinic in Seongsu-dong.
I. Why did I give up Gangnam and go to Seongsu-dong to pursue skin care treatments?
To be honest, when I used to go to Seoul for cosmetic procedures, I always went straight to Gangnam. But on these recent trips, I noticed a problem: although many clinics in Gangnam have modern equipment and offer a wide range of treatments, there are simply too many customers. As a result, the consultation time is greatly shortened, and sometimes patients are rushed into undergoing procedures before they even have a proper understanding of what’s involved.
Seongsu-dong is a bit different. This area has always been a trendy spot favored by young people in Seoul, with numerous cafes, boutiques, and art spaces. However, the concentration of medical beauty clinics here is not as high as that in Gangnam. Melting Clinic is located on the fourth floor of the Samjeon Building. Its entrance is quite unassuming, without any flashy signs on the street. But once you step inside, you’ll realize that the atmosphere here is truly “quiet”.
I made an appointment for a weekday afternoon, and the clinic wasn’t crowded at all; the director had plenty of time to talk with me in detail. This was very important for me, because my skin is quite sensitive, so I couldn’t just undergo any treatment casually – the doctor needed to take the time to understand my specific situation before proceeding.

II. Where exactly is the Melting Clinic? It’s only a 5-minute walk from the Seongsu station.
The clinic is located at Room 403, 4th Floor, Samjin Building, 113 Eosasa Mountain Road, Seongdong District, Seoul. It is very easy to find – just exit Exit 2 of the Seongsu subway station and walk straight along Eosasa Mountain Road for about 5 minutes.
The exterior of the building isn’t particularly new, but once you take the elevator to the fourth floor and push open the door, you’ll enter the reception area of the Melting Clinic. The overall decor features a warm off-white tone, and the lighting is very soft, unlike the cold, hospital-like atmosphere found in some clinics. On the walls, there are displays showcasing their equipment as well as the educational background of the clinic’s director; it all looks quite professional.

III. Melting Clinic’s signature services: ranging from skin care to body sculpting
This clinic offers a fairly comprehensive range of services. I have roughly categorized them as follows:
Skin care products:
- SKIN BOOSTER (Rejuran, Hyaluronic Acid Injection, JUVELOOK)
- Regenerative injections (HMPF stem cell injections, PLA regenerative injections)
- Acne care and Pores management
- Customized pigment lasers, CO2 fractional lasers
Tightening and rejuvenating treatments:
- ONDA Cryolipolysis
- Ultherapy Prime (Ulthrea)
- Shurink Universe (Korean version of HIFU)
- InMode, Sunny Lifting, Lapera Pro
- Thread lifting
Micro-injection treatments:
- Botulinum toxin and Filler injections
- Collagen Lifting
Body sculpting services:
- MELFAT injections (their exclusive formula)
- InMode body contouring, ONDA body lifting treatment
- Melting Weight Loss Program
This time, I mainly consulted about skin care and lifting treatments. The director suggested that I start with basic skin care and then consider adding lifting treatments depending on my specific needs. He didn’t immediately recommend the most expensive options, which I found really reassuring.
IV. Personal consultation by Director Park Kyung-min: Dr. Han Yang, a medical doctor from HanYang University, provides one-on-one consultations throughout the entire process.
The representative director of Melting Clinic is Park Kyung-min, a Doctor of Medicine from Hanyang University and a specialist in family medicine. He has held various leadership positions in several professional associations, including the South Korea Society of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and the Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Nutrition, and has continuously published research papers and participated in academic exchanges.
During my consultation, the director personally examined my skin condition and used instruments to measure various aspects such as Pores, pigmentation levels, and skin elasticity. He spoke in a very gentle manner, without putting any pressure on me. Instead, he first asked about my regular skincare habits, whether I had undergone any previous treatments, and what my main purpose for coming to Seoul was.
I told him that my main goal was to improve uneven skin tone and mild skin laxity. He suggested that I start with a basic skin care treatment, combined with a session of Sunny Lifting (their lifting treatment), as this would give a more natural result overall. The entire consultation took about 30 minutes, and there was no sense of rushing at all.

V. What is the environment like at Melting Clinic? Let me show you through pictures and text.
The space of the clinic is not particularly large, but it is well-designed. The reception area is equipped with sofas and a coffee table, and the walls display information about their medical equipment as well as the academic background of the clinic director. The lighting in the waiting area is soft and does not create a sense of tension.
The treatment rooms are separate and provide one-on-one services, ensuring a high level of privacy. I noticed that their equipment consists of relatively new models – they have all the mainstream devices such as ONDA, Ultherapy Prime, and InMode. The director said that they regularly update their equipment to ensure the best treatment results.
Another detail that left a deep impression on me was the “Melting Tea” prepared in the clinic – made from a combination of vanilla and traditional Chinese herbs, it is said to help with detoxification and relaxation. After my treatment, the therapist brought me a cup of this tea; it had a really unique flavor and made me feel truly cared for.
