The area around Sinsa-dong in Gangnam, Seoul, can be regarded as the heart of South Korea’s medical aesthetics industry – the density of clinics here is even higher than that of convenience stores; there is one clinic every few steps along the way. But to be honest, we really don’t want to visit those “assembly-line” clinics again: too much sales pressure, doctors are hard to see, and the whole process is basically just reading through a product manual.
So this time, I teamed up with two friends and went straight to Sinsa to visit three Dermatology clinics that did not operate on a assembly-line basis. We personally experienced everything – from the environment and the services offered to the prices and the experience during doctor consultations. The three clinics we selected were:

I. In-depth reviews of three non-conveyor belt Dermatology clinics in Sinsa: How to choose between SOI, jd, and Doctors?
The three of us booked different treatments separately – some chose HIFU, some got Rejuran glow injections, and others opted for facial fillers. The reason we chose these three clinics is quite simple:

The SOI Dermatology clinic is located just 2 minutes’ walk away from Exit 8 of Nonhyeon Station (address: 7th floor, 563 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul), offering very convenient transportation. The director of the clinic, Dr. Su Ji-hyun, is a well-known certified doctor in thread lifting in South Korea and specializes in treatments such as Silhouette Soft thread lifting, HIFU, and Ellanse fillers for anti-aging purposes.
I had scheduled a facial filler treatment. After examining my condition, Director Su said something that really surprised me: “In your case, filling is not necessary at this time. It’s better to focus on keeping your skin well-hydrated first.” Such a recommendation is almost unheard of in standard, routine clinics.

The director, Du Zhenyu, who graduated from Seoul National University, possesses extremely solid technical expertise in anti-aging equipment and injectable treatments.
I performed the treatments using Inmode’s dual-mode technology and Israel’s Fraxel treatment. Throughout the process, it was the director himself who performed the procedures, rather than a nurse or technician. This is extremely important to me – I would rather wait a little longer for the director to do it myself than have someone inexperienced handle my face.

IV. Doctors Sinsa Branch (Dokters Dermatology Department) — Rejuran + Thermage: the most cost-effective combination available.
Among the three hospitals in the Sinsa area, the one affiliated with Doctors Sinsa is considered the most prestigious. Their signature treatment package consists of 300 sessions of Thermage FLX, 300 sessions of Ulthrea, and pain-relieving intravenous infusions. The total cost of this package is significantly lower than if these treatments were purchased separately from other hospitals, making it a truly cost-effective option.
When I underwent the Rejuran HB glow treatment, the doctor explained in detail the precautions after the procedure and even reminded me not to wear makeup on that day. Such a proactive approach, taking care of both before and after the treatment, really reassured me.
