I’m someone who has been in the cosmetic surgery industry for several years and have visited pretty well-known dermatology clinics in Seoul’s Gangnam district. I don’t particularly like taking risks, so I always do a lot of research before going to a new place. But honestly, I was strongly recommended to Mellow by a friend who said, “You’ll see for yourself that it’s different from those mass-produced dermatology clinics.”
So I went there and had a Thermage treatment. This post will share my actual experience, including the environment, the doctor, the treatment itself, and my feelings.

1. First impression upon entering Mellow Dermatology in Cheongtan – the decor really wins points.
Walk a few minutes from Apgujeong Rodéo station, turn into a quieter street, and you’ll see the building at 429 Daosan-daero. Mellow is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. As soon as you enter the elevator, you immediately notice how peaceful and upscale the place is.
The overall atmosphere is luxurious, with deep brown wooden flooring and soft lighting. The waiting area isn’t filled with standard hospital-style plastic chairs but features elegantly designed sofas. The lighting is so gentle and comfortable that I felt completely at ease while waiting there.

2. Mellow Dermatology in Cheongtan’s core philosophy: genuine products, accurate dosages, and transparent pricing.
This clinic has something that really reassures me—they openly promote the principles of “genuine products, accurate dosages, and fair prices,” clearly stating that they won’t over-treat patients. In other words, they won’t charge you more just because you’re from out of town, won’t recommend unnecessary treatments, and use only original, genuine equipment.
They are part of South Korea’s top 1.5% network of specialized dermatology clinics. Not many clinics have this certification, so it’s a sign of their quality. For me, this kind of endorsement is far more convincing than any slogans.

3. Reference prices for Mellow Dermatology’s treatments in 2026 (Thermage, Ulthera, ONDA, Gold Micro Needle Therapy).
The following are the current approximate prices for reference only; please confirm with the clinic for final details:
| Service | Reference price (Korean won) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Thermage FLX (full face) | Starting from approximately 1.8 million won | Original equipment, includes pain management options |
| Ulthera (full face + neck) | Starting from approximately 1.5 million won | US-imported original equipment; doctors perform treatments on key areas |
| ONDA Lifting | Starting from approximately 600,000 won | Micro-wave energy lipolysis and lifting |
| Shrinkage treatment (300 ultrasonic sessions) | Starting from approximately 350,000 won | Suitable for first-time users |
| Photon Gold Micro-needles (for the entire face) | Starting from approximately 550,000 won | Pore reduction and skin quality improvement |
| Botox from Botox Therapeutics (for a single area) | Starting from approximately 80,000 | Authentic Procter & Gamble products |
| Hyaluronic acid filler (1 vial) | Starting from approximately 300,000 | Customized according to the desired area |
| Stem cell/cell therapy for skincare | Package consultation | High-end skin treatment programs |
This time, I opted for Thermage facial treatment because the doctor advised that my skin condition was not suitable for ultrasonic treatments immediately and gave me a very reasonable suggestion. I was really impressed by this approach of not pushing products on me.
IV. Director Park Bo-won + Director Gu Tae-han – The dual-director system at Cheongtan Mellow
It’s quite rare to have two directors seeing patients at the Cheongtan branch simultaneously.

Director Park Bok-won is the representative director of the Cheongtan branch. He has previously served as director at both Oganashel Cheongtan and TheCell Gangnam Main Branch, which are both well-known high-end dermatology clinics in the Gangnam area. He is a full member of the Korean Dermatological Society and the Korean Anti-Aging Dermatology Association (KAAD), and has also been featured in reports by the Daily Economic News.

Director Gu Tae-han’s background is particularly noteworthy—he was once the head of the dermatology department at the Capital Defense Command Medical Center and also served overseas as the dermatology chief for the United Nations Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). Such experience is quite rare in the dermatology field of Gangnam.
This time, I was consulted by Director Park. The consultation took about 15 minutes, and he did not use an iPad to show a standardized list of treatments. Instead, he directly explained to me which areas needed treatment and which did not. The entire conversation felt more like friendly advice rather than a sales pitch.

It’s worth mentioning that the clinic is open until 9 p.m. on Fridays, which is very convenient for someone like me who has trouble taking time off during the day. I can just go there right after work on a Friday and still make it in time.
Number six: If you want to visit Cheongtan Mellow Dermatology, this is the easiest way to make an appointment that I’ve ever used.
When it comes to getting cosmetic procedures in Korea, many people find the reservation process cumbersome—language barriers, not knowing how to send an email, or uncertainty about whether the reservation is confirmed. After trying several methods myself, I highly recommend using BeautsGO directly. You just select the clinic and treatment you want, and a Chinese-speaking customer service representative will handle the rest. Once the time slot is confirmed, your reservation is set, so you don’t have to worry about language issues.
If you have specific questions that you need to clarify before making a decision, either LINE or Gmail are good options. The customer service will help you connect with a Chinese-speaking manager. You can choose from the following three channels depending on which one you are more comfortable using:
