Last month, I went to Jeju Island with my best friend. After spending four days and three nights there, I can only say that this largest island of South Korea, which allows visa-free visits and is located so close, is truly the perfect place for a last-minute medical beauty trip! 🌊✈️
Many people only know that Jeju Island is a great place to enjoy the sea and taste black pork, but did you know that the density of Dermatology institutions here ranks among the highest in South Korea? Especially in the areas near Yeon-dong Pedestrian Street and the Silla Duty-Free Shop, there are numerous clinics that provide services in Chinese. During our trip, in addition to visiting popular tourist spots, we also specifically scheduled half a day for an LDM Hydrating Lifting treatment. Our skin was extremely dry after getting off the plane, but after the treatment, it immediately regained its moisture—no need for retouching photos at all!
Today, I would like to share with you my four-day, three-night itinerary on Jeju Island, including information about attractions, local cuisine, transportation, as well as recommendations for Dermatology clinics that we actually visited. Sisters who want to have fun while taking care of their beauty, please save this information immediately!

I. Overview of a 4-day/3-night itinerary on Jeju Island
Let me first show you the route we took this time. Jeju Island is divided into two main areas: the urban area (Jeju City) and Seogwipo. The tourist attractions are relatively scattered, so it is recommended to rent a car or book a private vehicle. This time, we booked a private vehicle for the entire trip. The driver was extremely friendly and even recommended local restaurants where we could eat!
| Date | Itinerary arrangement | Recommendation Index |
|---|---|---|
| DAY 1 | Arrive in Jeju → Shop around in Lotte Dong → Watch the sunset at Sade Beach | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| DAY 2 | Chengshan Sunrise Peak → Niudao Island Circuit → Setouchi Kashiwa | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| DAY 3 | Seogwipo Daily Market → Zhongwen Cultural Tourism Area → Columnar Joint Zone → Medical beauty treatments provided by local Dermatology institutions | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| DAY 4 | Yayue Coast Highway → Shopping at duty-free stores → Return trip | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
The schedule of this trip is not too tight, so there will be plenty of time each day for taking photos, checking in, and resting. It is recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses – the ultraviolet rays in Jeju Island are really strong!
II. DAY 1: Arrive in Jeju and check into a hotel near Yeon-dong
We departed from Taoyuan Airport, and the flight took approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Jeju International Airport, we immediately purchased a T-money bus card at the CU convenience store inside the airport (which allows us to take the airport bus to the city center). The journey by bus takes about 40 minutes to reach Yeondong.
Yeondong can be considered the most bustling area in Jeju City, with a large number of cosmetics stores, clothing shops, cafes, as well as numerous Dermatology clinics. The hotel where we were staying is just a 5-minute walk from Yeondong Pedestrian Street, making it extremely convenient for both shopping and seeking medical beauty treatments!
Xiande Beach: The sunset view is absolutely breathtaking!
In the afternoon, we took a taxi to Hamdeok Beach. The water here is clean, and the sand is white and fine. What’s more, there are rows of colorful cottages and cafes beside the beach, making it an absolutely perfect spot for taking pictures! We were lucky enough to catch the sunset – the whole sky turned orange-red, and the sea surface sparkled. My friend said she had never seen such a beautiful sunset in her life.
There are free chaises available on the beach, but the wind gets quite strong after sunset, so it’s recommended to bring a jacket. Nearby the beach, there is a small stall that sells seafood ramen. The owner is from Hong Kong, so communication is completely no problem. A bowl of seafood ramen costs only 5,000 Korean won (about 125 Taiwanese dollars) – it’s both cheap and delicious!

III. DAY 2: Seongsan Sunrise Peak + Udo Island – A must-visit spot on Jeju Island!
I got up at 6 o’clock the next morning just to go to Sunrise Peak in Chengshan to watch the sunrise! I recommend that everyone arrive before 9 o’clock in the morning, otherwise there will be too many people around and the sun will be too intense. The hotel where we were staying was about a 30-minute drive from Sunrise Peak, and this is when the advantage of hiring a car really becomes apparent – you don’t have to get up early to catch the bus.
Sunrise Peak at Mount Cheng: A World Cultural Heritage site, the breathtaking beauty of its volcanic crater
Seongsan Sunrise Peak is a volcanic crater formed by an undersea volcanic eruption 100,000 years ago, and it was listed as a World Natural Heritage site in 2007. It takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to reach the summit. The stairs are not extremely steep, but there are a few sections with relatively steep gradients, so it is essential to wear suitable footwear! The view from the summit is truly worth it – you can see the entire volcanic crater as well as the coastline of Jeju Island. On clear days, you can even spot Niu Island in the distance.
After coming down the mountain, we found a restaurant near by that served abalone congee. The abalones on Jeju Island are all locally farmed, so they are fresh and inexpensive – a bowl of abalone congee only costs 8,000 Korean won (about 200 New Taiwan dollars), and it’s truly incredibly fresh!
Niudao: South Korea’s most beautiful island truly lives up to its reputation.
It takes only 10 minutes to drive from Seongsan Sunrise Peak to the port of Niudao. You need to take a boat to get onto the island, and the round-trip ticket costs 5,500 Korean won per person (about 140 Taiwanese dollars), with a sailing time of approximately 15 minutes. Once on the island, you can rent a motorcycle or a bicycle to explore the surroundings. We chose an electric bicycle, and it took us about 2 hours to complete the entire journey effortlessly.
Niu Island highly recommends the “East Coast Whale Cave” and the “West Coast White Sand Beach” – the water there is so clear that you can see the bottom, and its blue color seems almost unreal. Throughout the island, you can see local women catching abalones and sea urchins, witnessing firsthand this traditional maritime way of life. It’s advisable to bring some snacks and drinks with you when visiting the island, as there are not many dining options available.
Halfway through the ride, I saw a stall selling peanut ice cream. Jeju Island is famous for its black peanuts, and this ice cream is topped with crushed peanuts – it’s absolutely delicious and fragrant! 📸 This place is especially great for taking photos; it’s recommended to wear light-colored clothes when shooting here.

IV. DAY 3: Seogwipo + Central Cultural and Tourism Area + Medical Aesthetics Experience
On the third day, we scheduled our itinerary for Seogwipo, which is about a 40-minute drive from the downtown area of Jeju City. It is another major central region of Jeju Island and a popular destination for many tourists looking for accommodations. The surrounding area of the Jungmun Tourism Complex is home to numerous luxury hotels and resorts, and the environment here is truly umi.
Seogwipo Daily Market: Experience local life firsthand
In the morning, we visited the Seogwipo Daily Market, which is the largest traditional market in the area. It offers various specialties of Jeju Island, such as oranges, chocolate olive cakes, grilled hairtail, and spicy fried rice cakes… We bought some oranges from an old lady’s stall; a bag cost 2,000 South Korean won (about 50 Taiwanese dollars), and they were incredibly sweet! The market also sells dried seafood, which makes great souvenirs to take home.
Columnar joint zones: the miraculous creations of nature
The columnar joint formations are a famous natural attraction on Jeju Island, located about 10 minutes away by car from the Chinese-speaking tourist area. These hexagonal rock columns were formed when volcanic lava cooled down, and they look as if they have been neatly arranged in rows. Nature is truly amazing! The scenic area is not very large, and it takes about 30 minutes to explore it, but it makes for some great photos.
Getting cosmetic treatments in Jeju Island: Enjoy your vacation while improving your appearance!
Here comes the highlight of the afternoon! We had reserved in advance a seat at the 4ever Jeju store, which is located not far from the Liandong Pedestrian Street. This store is part of a South Korean chain of Dermatology clinics and is considered quite large in scale on Jeju Island. They offer Chinese-language services, ensuring smooth communication throughout the entire process!
The treatment we underwent this time is LDM Water Drop Lifting, which is supposedly designed specifically for the dry sea air of Jeju Island. After the treatment, the skin instantly becomes moist and firm. Another friend of mine tried Juvelook Collagen injections, which are said to help improve fine lines and enlarged Pores. The doctor advised us to use more face masks and strengthen our sun protection after the LDM treatment, since the ultraviolet radiation in Jeju Island is even stronger than that in Seoul!
The advantages of undergoing cosmetic procedures on Jeju Island are as follows: the costs are approximately 20-30% lower than those in Gangnam, Seoul, and there is no need to wait in long queues for appointments. It is recommended to check reviews and prices on BeautsGO in advance and choose a clinic with high ratings.

V. Ya Yue Coast Highway + Shopping at Duty-Free Shops
On the last day, we focused on relaxing and shopping. In the morning, we visited Yaeul Coast Road, one of the most romantic places on Jeju Island for enjoying the sea. The path, built along the cliffs, is flanked by the azure blue ocean and black volcanic rocks, making it an absolutely stunning spot for taking pictures!
At noon, we ate roasted black pork near Yaeul. Black pork from Jeju Island is a local specialty here; the meat is tender and juicy, and when roasted, it emits a delicious aroma. Paired with lettuce and garlic, it’s absolutely satisfying to bite into! The restaurant we went to was recommended by an old driver and is popular among locals. A three-person portion of black pork costs only 25,000 Korean won (about 625 Taiwanese dollars), which is really affordable.
In the afternoon, I visited the Shinsegae Duty Free Store in South Korea. Buying international brands there costs 10-20% less than buying them at the exclusive stores in the city center. Moreover, there is a huge selection of Korean cosmetics available for tax refund on the spot. It is recommended to download the Shinsegae Duty Free Store app in advance to receive a newcomer discount coupon. After making your purchases, you can pick up your items at the airport, which is extremely convenient!

VII. Practical Travel Information for Jeju Island
Transportation recommendations
Jeju Island does not have a subway system; transportation mainly relies on buses and charter cars. If you want to travel in a relaxed and convenient manner, it is recommended to search for charter car services on Taobao (the cost is approximately 600–800 RMB per day). The driver will also act as a tour guide, providing both convenience and saving you the trouble of arranging separate arrangements. If your budget is limited, you can also purchase a T-money bus card to use for public transportation, but keep in mind that bus services are relatively scarce, and waiting times may be long.
Accommodation recommendations
If this is your first time visiting Jeju Island, I recommend staying in the vicinity of Yeon-dong in Jeju City. It is conveniently located near the airport, duty-free shops, Yeon-dong shopping streets, and Dermatology clinics, and there are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We stayed at the Hotel Skypark Jeju, where the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. It only takes a 3-minute walk to reach Yeon-dong Walking Street.
Gourmet recommendations

Suggestions for medical beauty treatment itineraries
If you plan to undergo cosmetic procedures on Jeju Island, it is recommended to schedule them on the third or fourth day. This way, you can enjoy your trip fully in the previous days, and having the treatments on the last day will allow your skin to recover properly, ensuring it is in its best condition when you return home. Post-treatment precautions:
- After undergoing LDM or hyaluronic acid injections, do not apply makeup for 3 days and avoid using irritating skincare products.
- On Jeju Island, the sea breeze is strong and the ultraviolet radiation is intense; therefore, be sure to bring sunscreen with an SPF of 50+ and a hat.
- Avoid drinking alcohol and using saunas within one week after the procedure.
- Always carry medical face masks and moisturizing sprays with you.
